After lunch (Pork Pie) we went for another walk - this time leaving Tricia behind, she wanted to do some reading. We walked up Burgate, stopping in at the Quaker Meeting rooms for a look at their garden - it was very pretty. Then we went on to Pickering Castle, again walking around and not going in. Then we meandered back down some other streets ending up at the Railway station. Back to the house.

That evening I had booked us in for dinner at the White Swan Hotel. More of a restaurant than a Pub. It was a bit above Pub food and was excellent. We stayed for a while enjoying the ambience. Then made our way back (all of 100 metres).
Very restful. Of course, even doing nothing in a different place is interesting.

Quiet day spent in Pickering. Went to the White Swan for dinner. Nice.
